Yen Audio is pleased to reveal the voice actors for the audiobook version of Ishura, Vol 1. The recording, set to release on 10/10/2023, will showcase the talents of Chris Guerro and Emily Bauer, renowned American voice actors known for their work on various anime series.

Ishura, a series of Japanese light novels by Keiso with illustrations by Kureta, was first published on September 17, 2019 by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint. Yen Press has licensed Ishura for its first English release.

After the death of the Demon King, a group of demigods with the ability to defeat him have taken control of the world. This group includes a highly skilled fencer who can analyze and defeat their enemies with just a glance, a lancer who can move at incredible speeds, a wyvern rogue who wields three legendary weapons, a powerful wizard who can bring thoughts to life, and an angelic assassin who can quickly eliminate their targets. Each of these champions is determined to become the “True Hero” and they constantly seek out challenges and engage in conflicts with one another. The ultimate battle to determine the strongest among them has begun.

Chris Guerrero, an American voice actor, will provide the voices for all 15 male characters. He is currently working with FUNimation Entertainment/Crunchyroll, Sound Cadence Studios, OkraTron 5000, and NYAV Post. He is most recognized for his roles as Momonga/Ains Ooal Gown in Overlord, Gecko Moria in One Piece, Marcus Pietoras in Thermae Romae, Albert James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot, Maiharu Gansoku in Golden Kamuy, and Impey Barbicane in Code:Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~.

Whereas Emily Bauer will be voicing all the female characters; a total of 11 characters. Emily is an American voice and stage actress. She has worked in several English language dubs of Japanese anime shows including Shinobu in Ninja Nonsense, Megumi Morisato in Ah! My Goddess, Dawn from the Pokémon anime and Lastelle in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
