Viddsee has announced the nominees for the Juree Awards Asia 2023 and has partnered with TikTok to create a category for vertical storytelling.
Viddsee, the leading creator platform is thrilled to announce 20 films as finalists for its anticipated Juree Awards Asia 2023. For the first time ever, Viddsee will also partner with TikTok, the global leader for short-form mobile videos, for the Vertical Storytelling Category. TikTok will be supporting the promotion of the Juree Awards Asia on their platform and will also ensure our finalist content gets the maximum viewer exposure it deserves.

The Juree Awards Asia 2023 have gained immense backing, with more than 300 entries from creators across Asia. This indicates a promising expansion for the content creation field.
Additional entries for the Juree Awards Asia consist of documentaries, stories, and animated works.

By combining TikTok’s proficiency in creating short videos with Viddsee’s thriving community of storytellers, this partnership amplifies and showcases the top filmmakers, storytellers, and content creators in the region.
Kenny Tan, Vice President of Studios at Viddsee, stated that the current year’s edition has received more than 300 submissions. These submissions include a wide range of films that defy genres. The large number of submissions indicates a promising rise in Asian stories and the emergence of talented individuals. Tan also noted that today’s creators are fearless in sharing thought-provoking narratives, using storytelling to challenge societal norms and perceptions on topics such as poverty, parenthood, grief and loss, and even sex work.
Regarding the partnership with TikTok, Tan expresses his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to team up with a major player like TikTok, as this collaboration highlights our dedication to creating a bigger platform for creators in Asia. With its extensive audience reach, TikTok’s platform will greatly benefit our 20 finalists by providing them with greater exposure and advancing their careers.”

Viddsee is asking viewers to select their preferred movies. Voting for the different categories will take place on both TikTok and Viddsee platforms.
To increase viewer interaction, Viddsee has introduced the Audience Choice Awards, which will run until November 13th. Viewers can vote for their preferred films on Viddsee.com in the Open Category. In the Vertical category, TikTok will offer another platform for audiences to show their support by liking, sharing and commenting on their favorite films.

Five movies will be chosen for the Juree Awards Asia 2023. These awards include the Gold and Silver Awards for the Open Category, the Grand Prize Award for the Vertical Storytelling Category, and two Audience Choice Awards to be decided by Viddsee’s audience network.
