Official details:

Bruce Lee’s second film for Golden Harvest, Fist of Fury, swiftly broke all the box office records set by his previous film The Big Boss, and launched one of the most iconic characters in Chinese action cinema in Chen Zhen, since played in other films by Jet Li and Donnie Yen.

his family’s

Chen (Lee) arrives back in Shanghai in 1910 after completing his studies abroad, only to discover changes within his family.

Chen’s martial arts mentor has passed away in a strange manner. He suspects that the rival Japanese dojo, known for their mistreatment of his classmates and disrespect towards Chinese culture, may be responsible. Chen seeks revenge and becomes a target as he takes on the Japanese alone in his quest for justice.

Fist of Fury is a high-energy action film that features some of Lee’s most memorable scenes, including the iconic moment when he declares that the Chinese are not weak. This movie marks Lee’s last project with director Lo Wei, who would later try to kickstart the career of stuntman Jackie Chan (who has a brief appearance in this film) in the sequel, New Fist of Fury.
