RELEASE DATE: October 23, 2023

Eureka is set to release the Blu-ray version of the 1973 film The Beach of the War Gods (also known as Blood Dragon) by Golden Harvest on October 23, 2023. This exciting film, directed by and starring Jimmy Wang Yu (known for The Tattooed Dragon), will be available in Region B format.

Jimmy Wang Yu, known for his pioneering work in Kung Fu films such as The Chinese Boxer, combines elements of wuxia chaos and Seven Samurai in his movie Beach of the War Gods.

Xiao Erhei (Cheng Lui).

During the final days of the Ming dynasty, coastal villages in China are being attacked by Japanese invaders. A lone swordsman, Wang Yu, takes on a band of these foreign attackers and offers to protect the town. He gathers a team of expert fighters, such as the knife-throwing mercenary Leng Ping (played by Yeh Tien in Blood of the Dragon) and the impulsive swordsman Xiao Erhei (played by Cheng Lui).

The character Iron Bull Chao, also known as Han Hsieh and One Armed Boxer, joins forces with the townspeople to prepare them for a confrontation with invading pirates. Through strategic planning and honing their abilities, they come together to defend against the enemy’s full-scale attack. The intense battle culminates on the Beach of the War Gods.

Other actors featured in the film are Lung Fei (known for The Ghost Hill), Hsueh Han (from The Dragon Inn), and Choi Wang (who appeared in Monks Fight).
