At the 28th Busan International Film Festival, Martine THÉROUANNE awarded two Asia Star Awards to two legendary figures in the film industry.


Martine Thérouanne, who is the director of the Vesoul IFF of Asian Cinemas and also the president of the Jiseok jury at the 28th Busan International Film Festival, often referred to as Asia’s version of Cannes, awarded two “Asia Star Awards” to two talented actors. One award went to Korean actor Yoo Teo for his performances in popular shows like Squid Game and Past Lives. The other award was given to Japanese actor Iura Arata for his roles in films such as Air Doll and Kore-eda Hirokazu’s Like Father, Like Son. These awards were presented at the “Asia Star Awards” ceremony, which was organized by Marie-Claire Chanel on Thursday, October 5th.

The upcoming French release of “Past Lives,” a film directed by Céline Song and featuring Yoo Teo as the male lead, is scheduled for December 13, 2023.
