Expert Tips

  • I typically create my product in small quantities and use it. If you are preparing a large batch, it is best to store it in smaller jars and use them consecutively to preserve the fragrance and taste for a longer period of time.
  • Slowly cooking over low or medium heat and continuously stirring can prevent the spices from burning, making it key to roasting successfully.
  • When grinding, be sure to dry the mixer jar before adding roasted seeds. Scrape the sides periodically to prevent seeds from sticking.
  • Preservation: Place in a sanitized, sealed container and it will remain fresh for at least 3 months at room temperature. Use a dry, clean utensil each use. For extended preservation, refrigerate and it will stay fresh for approximately a year.
